Land Center Event: Stand For Global Religious Freedom

Today, many people of faith live under severe persecution around the world. From North Korea to Afghanistan, from Somalia to Libya, it is dangerous to follow Christ. What can students do? How can we pray?

Join us for a special event: Stand for Global Religious Freedom hosted by the Land Center and Neighborly Faith.

Land Center Lecture Series

The Land Center is pleased to announce the Land Center Lectures. This inaugural year will feature Dr. Nathan Finn, Provost and Dean of the University Faculty at North Greenville University, who is a historical and systematic theologian who writes and speaks widely on Baptist history and thought, leadership, and Christian higher education. Dr. Finn, who serves as a senior fellow with the Land Center, will lecture on the theme of “Perspectives on Southern Baptist Cultural Engagement.”

Land Center to host online discussion on the future of the pro-life movement after Roe v. Wade

The Supreme Court is on the verge of making history. In the next 6-8 weeks, the Supreme Court will hand down a ruling in the Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case that will likely overturn the precedent set in the disastrous Roe v. Wade decision.

Join us for an important conversation with leading pro-life activists and learn how to stand for life as we prepare for a new moment in the pro-life movement.

Land Center co-sponsors event on meaning of humanity

The Land Center for Cultural Engagement at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, in partnership with the International Alliance for Christian Education (IACE) and Stand for Life of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC), held an event addressing the topic of what it means to be human during a May 24-25 colloquium on the campus of Southwestern Seminary. The colloquium was a pre-conference to IACE’s annual faculty development conference, May 25-27.
